Down the shore, off the beach

We were down the shore, but didn't spend ALL the time at the beach!
We had a lot of fun running around the 34th street playground

And mini golf was a blast.

For more mean minature golf!  If the video doesn't play, go to: http://youtu.be/TMNaKPQj_t0

18th whole.  Aunt Erin trying for a hole in one and free game!
Some fun time at the arcade

Don't crash.
We had a ball at the water park.  One problem was you can't walk around with your camera, so the pictures are limited.

Here she comes!  If the video doesn't play it's also at http://youtu.be/0TxZYT6mAE8

And what kind of vacation would it be if we didn't go to the amusement park on the boardwalk.  Look out boys...the girls are about to get you.

Froggies!

Sophie and Josh on the catepillar.
And Evan and Sophie on an empty catepillar.  Check out the video or go to:

French fries anyone?
Back at the park with a mean game of tag.

And a little rest for the boys in the shade.

Dinner at the home of the world's biggest pizza.  The grown ups had a $64 pizza.  No joke.  Not intentional, and we think that was the record.

And of course after dinner and the rides and the amusement park...Kohr's Bros custard.

One day the girls went to the Asbury Street fair to get nails done, balloon animals, and face painting.

Sleepy after a long day!

Ocean City 2014 week 1 on the beach

We had a great 2 weeks in Ocean City this year.  The Harney's came to Philadelphia and we all drove down to the beach together and Grampy and Kay met us there.

As sson as we go there we ran downstairs to check it out.

We had a really fun week playing in the sand and ocean.

Of course we had lots of time to lie around as well!

And plenty of time for ice cream of course!

Morning video games

Hey, look what crawled into the bucket!

Sno cone buddies!

Classic.  Poor Sophie!

That's better.  4 cool kids

We had a couple chilly nights.  On this overcast drizzly day we headed out to the boardwalk.

Then back to the beach.  Sophie did a lot of digging.  She kept trying to dig to China.  And almost made it!

Breakfast with Uncle Kyle

If you look closely, this is a little mermaid in the sand with a tail, and yes, "boobies"
It was a long day and everyone was super tired.

Super tired until the next day of course!  Back to the beach.

Time out for a snack

Sophie playing with her cousin Hanna.  They had a ball.

Dinner on the patio.

Hi Mom

Adirondacks for July 4

We had a great July 4th weekend.  We got in the car on Thursday and drove to upstate New York.  We went to the Adirondacks to spend the weekend with David's college friends Steve Hanes and Steve Frodey and their families.  We stayed Thursday night in Saratoga and then up early and breakfast in a small town restaurant on the way to the mountains.

Crazy car ride with Crazy people.
Steve and Dotty have a house in Essex, right on Lake Champlain.  It's a tiny little town and we made it for the 4th of July parade.
Noah and "Hanes" watching the parade.

Sophie and Dotty when for a walk to get some balloons.

Parts of the parade were loud.

Throwing rocks in Lake Champlain

Dinner at a little restaurant.
We had a campfire at Hane's cabin.  First we had to collect the wood.

Toasting marshmallows and making S'mores.

And of course eating them!

The next day we went on a great hike. We climbed South Bouquet mountain with great views of the Lake.  Us with Dotty and Steve, And Steve, Meg and Brian Frodey

A little rest on the trail

Almost at the top!
WOW!  Check out those views. It's just like Daddy remembered.  A little picnic and rest at the top.

And back down again....
After the hike we were all hot and found a great river to go swimming in. Check out the white water in the background  Noah with Hanes.

And even Sophie went in the river.

Back in Essex, what's a small town 4th of July without ice cream??

On Saturday we took the ferry boat to Burlington VT.

One of our favorite pictures in Burlington.

Back home on the ferry; "I'm the Queen of the world!"

July 4th fireworks over the lake

Hane's lake house.

Bye to the cat and the Adirondacks.  We'll be back soon!  Thanks Hanes for a great trip.
