More fun from Puerto Rico

Sophie loved Puerto Rico.  She loves being out doors in the warm weather, hanging out on the grass or the sand.
Just the beginning of many fun times for brother and sister on the beach.

We think Noah will be a surfer dude.  Check out the pose.

Oh no!  Here comes a big one!!

Waves 1:  Noah 0.

Waves 0:  Sophie 1.

And what's vacation without gooey chocolate brownies?
Ahhh.  Relaxing in the surf.

Beach baby

This slide was really fun.  Noah must of gone down 100 times.

But Sophie loved it too!  She loved the water and splashing around.

Look at this little video.  David was winning the wrestling match, when Noah escaped and if you listen closely yells "SLAM DUNK"!

Fall Updates, "Who's the boss"?

We have been away from the blog for a long time, but will try and do some updates soon.  Here is just a quick update from this past fall.  Everyone knows by now that Sophie has quickly taken over our house and well, basically is in charge (except of course of Noah).  Take a look....
Hey guys...I want color with chalk too!
Nope. I'm in charge of the remote and the TV today, and I say we are watching Mickey Mouse.
Yeah.  Now that's what I'm talking about.  Yeah Mickey.

Sophie is making a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Poppy would be proud of Noah.  He has taken to reading at the dinner table.  Here he is ready his Hot Wheels catalog.
Fall soccer was really fun this year.  David was the "Assistant Coach" of Noah's team, the Blue Jays.  That's Noah in the blue sweat shirt and red hat getting warmed up.  He is #10 and knows that was Pele's number, the best soccer player ever.

Noah is just to the right of the guy with the ball.  He was a great defender, and even scored a few goals for his team.

Congratulations Noah for a great season!
More updates soon.

Memory Lane in Puerto Rico

This is indeed a trip down memory lane.  Back when our family was just 3, we went to Puerto Rico (Nov 2008) when Noah was 2 years old.  We have each of these pictures in the identical locations but 3 years ago.  For fun, check out the original "Noah's Blog".  We have this picture above, though must not have posted it on the blog.  But see below.

He sure has grown.  Wow....where did the time go?

Well, there was lots more fun in Puerto Rico.  We stayed at the Wyndham Rio Mar Hotel.  They had really nice art work and pottery in the lobby.  Lots of people walked by and admired the middle piece (Noah would stand absolutely still like a statue and people would come by and try and figure out if he was real).

Sophie was up early usually.  This day, David and Sophie went for a walk at 6am while everyone else was sleeping.  We had the beach to ourselves.

Breakfast was always an adventure.  Sophie wanted to make sure that everyone in Puerto Rico knew she was here.  But she started eating tropical fruit.  Bananas and water....

...and dried Mango!

And check out this breakfast of champions: Chocolate chip pancakes (Noah is counting the chocolate chips), fruit loops, yogurt, orange juice, a bagel with butter, raisons....

Then back to the beach.  Noah...give us a pose!

All good things must come to an end.
Before we knew it, it was time to come home.  We returned our rental car and hopped on the bus back to the airport.

And ready for take off!  Sophie liked the fight back.

Wow....look at that view!

The trip down was a bit of an ordeal.  Poor little Sophie got sick soon after take off, and threw up on herself and on David.  We did alot of walking up and down the isle, which everyone on the plane probably appreciated.

Sleep tight sweetheart.  We'll be there soon.

How cool is this...flying at night!
We had such a great time in Puerto Rico, even though it was short.   Look for more pictures really soon!

Puerto Rico 2011

Right when we got to the hotel, we let Noah and Sophie make the bed.

Sophie was more interested in playing with the electric cords

But she loved the water.

These 3 kids loved playing together in the pool.

One rainy day we went to El Conquistador.  Noah had a double scoop ice cream cone for desert.  He wanted his "ancestors" to see him eating the huge cone!
Then later that night, how about an ice cream sandwich for desert.  We asked Noah if he wanted to go to the Casino and was his expression!

We have a few more pictures from El Moro.

See Sophie sitting right in the middle of the room?

After a long hot but fun time at the fort, we went to lunch at a pizza restaurant right behind El Convento hotel.  Sophie of course didn't eat pizza.  And just like "Where's Waldo", can you find Noah?  It's easy if you look for his cool sneaker.

Well, after a long super fun day, everyone was really tired.  Let's cuddle up and go to sleep.

One of David's favorite pictures ever.  Good night Noah.  Good night Sophie.  Thanks for a great trip to Puerto Rico.
