End of Paris Trip

We are winding down our trip and spent a morning in Luxembourg Gardens.  It was a little drizzly and overcast but there was still fun things to do.

A little taste of home with the Statue of Liberty
We then went to the Grevin Wax Museum. Noah and Michelangelo
Everyone and Albert Einstein
No explanation needed.

Bruce Lee wouldn't mess with Sophie!
Sophie's on TV!
Next stop: Lunch and chocolate crepes.  Sophie wore much of hers.
While Noah cleaned his plate!
Then to the Chocolate Museum.  That Eiffel Tower is made of chocolate.  Both kids so wanted to bite into it!
More Chocolate.
And our last night out for dinner in the Latin Quarter (Left Bank).  One of our nicest dinners despite the pouring rain!
And back to the Hotel.  Good night Paris, good night Sophie, good night Noah.
We traveled home again in style with some breakfast in the Admirals Club

And getting ready for the long flight home, going through the menu in Business Class.
And getting electronics all set up.
What a great trip.  These 2 kids turned out to be wonderful and fun world travelers.  I'd take them anywhere.  Can't wait for our next adventure..........

Still in Paris

A visit to the Louvre was really really cool

There she is.  Hard to get too close.
Sophie and Mona

The inverted pyramid holds new meaning; Noah had just read Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code.

Carousel in Montmartre outside Sacre Coeur.
We climbed the steps all the way up.
Then David, Sophie and Noah climbed to the top.  The stairway was tiny and cramped and Kathy didn't come with us.  She didn't like the closed space and David didn't like the heights.
But the views across Paris were gorgeous.

Then out to a little cafe for wine and ice cream!
And a walk by Moulin Rouge.  Not the nicest of streets.  Had to have the kids were blinders.
What next?  We stopped to have a snack on the steps of the Opera House figuring out where to go next.
We ended up in a novelty store...
And then dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Followed by a nighttime excursion in the Ferris Wheel.  Check out the sights!
Then a ride back up the Champs Elysees

More Paris fun to come....

Paris Part II

There are lots of carousels around Paris to ride.  This one was across from the Eiffel tower
We spent an afternoon walking up and down the Rue de Marais in the old Jewish quarter of Paris.

A cool old Magic museum

Desert on the Champs Elysee.

Chocolate milkshake.

and Ice Cream.

Kathy and the kids went on an open bus tour around the city while David was at a meeting.

And stopped off for ice cream.  Lots of ice cream on this trip!

Atop the Arc d'Triumph

Under the Arc d'Triumph, practicing a little Karate.

Breakfast in the Marriott.

More ice cream??
Sophie's new necklace. Check it out.  Bought it in the Arc d'Triumph as a gift from Nanny and Poppy.
We found a great little cafe to have dinner one night up the street from our hotel

Looking in from the outside.

It got cold at night.  Outside the cafe, down the street from the Arc d'Triumph
Outside Notre Dame

Outside Notre Dame we stopped to have a characature drawn of Sophie.

Then over to the Latin Quarter to walk around and stop for some crepes.

This picture is called: "It Won't Be The First Time".  Sophie posing inside the Louis Vuitton store as mom was buying a bag.
Then this day we took a train out to Versailles.  It was a fun ride.

Louis XIV or Noah?

Louis XIV or Sophie?

Out in the gardens of Versailles.

It was a long, tiring fun day.  We decided we'd have dinner in the hotel.  Honestly one of the most relaxing nice dinners we had!
