After the Holidays

The holidays are over, and things are quieting down a little.  But these 2 kids are still staying really busy.  Noah signed up for T ball in the spring, and as part of that, he gets indoor lessons.  He really like it and is learning to hit and throw like Derek Jeter (well, not quite yet, but...)

Everyone in our house was exciting to watch the Giants beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship game last weekend.  Even Sophie.  "TOUCHDOWN"!!
We hope this little video comes out.  Sophie got the cutest dancing doll for Christmas, and she now has a dancing partner.  This is adorable!  She is quite the little dancer.  She goes to "Makin' Music" once a week, and sits right in the middle of the circle and dances to all the songs!

And look.  Another pickle lover in the family.  She loves the little "bread and butter" pickles.

Last week we had a snow storm.  We call this picture "SNoah".  He and Kathy had a ball playing in the snow.

Believe it or not, we are close to caught up with our pictures.  Sophie is walking, and trying so hard to talk.  Right now she says "Da, Da, Da".  And she points to something she wants and says "what, what"?

Noah is loving Kindergarten.  He has his Orange Belt in Karate, now loves swimming and going under water, and just started indoor T ball lessons.   The Porter kids are busy, happy, and growing up.   Come visit!

Christmas on Crum Ctreek; Again!

Wow.  We were winding down after Christmas.  Here is one very tired little girl.

And one wound up little boy.  Who wants ice cream??
And just when things were settling down....Look who's here!!

The Harney's came for Christmas and New Year's!

And Christmas started all over again!  More family, more presents, more fun, more tired little girls!

Wow.  My very first doll house

At night, the 3 cool dudes went tot he diner for desert.  All the waitresses loved them.

We had a party at Cousin Alayna, Michael, and Andrew's house.  Lots of family and lots of kids!
Noah was showing the bigger kids how to dance on the Wii "Just Dance 3".  He is great at this game.
The Harney's came for Christmas and New Year's!

A few more Christmas presents to open of course.  It's hard to find which one belongs to who.

And Sophie got her very own Doctor's (or Nurse's?)  kit. She's going to be just like Mommy or Daddy.
Then before you know it, New Year's Eve was here.  We had a great party.  Noah and Evan are lighting sparklers before the fireworks show.

"4 boys watching the fireworks"

"4 kids watching fireworks"

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!

Sophie's first fireworks show.

Then it was inside for more fun and celebration.

And check out this little New Year's video

Christmas on Crum Creek

We're a little behind but we were getting ready for Christmas on Crum Creek.  Here we are on Christmas eve.  You can see the stockings are hanging and just waiting for Santa.  Noah and Sophie are spending more and more time together.  He loves his little sister, and she adores her big brother.

And finally, Christmas morning is here!  We started out in the living room checking out the cool things Santa left in our stockings.

Grampy didn't have have a stocking.  We don't think Santa knew he was on Crum Creek for Christmas.  But Noah shared well

Look Sophie. Santa left you a "Cindy-Loo Who" doll.

Look.  2 Elves for Christmas day!

Christmas soon moved into the other room.  There was a whole slew of presents that Santa left for everyone!  Grampy--look.  Santa did know you were here!  This one is for you.

What is it?

OK kids.   Your turn!  How much fun.   Not only did both Noah and Sophie get some great presents, they were both very grateful, saying thank you for everything (well, mostly Noah).
There are 2 really cute videos.  We hope you can play these.  Sophie got a dancing doll.  And as everyone knows, she is a dancing doll herself.  Check this out.

And Noah got a dancing Wii game.  He and mommy were having a dancing contest (mommy wasn't so happy putting this on the blog, but this is a wonderful contest.  Noah won.

More dancing.  Go Noah, Go.

Later that day we had some time to play outside in the "NEST" (Noah & Sophie's Treehouse)

Hey Sophie, did you and Noah have a good day?  Come back soon for more  pictures from our Christmas holiday!

Sophie's First Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIE!
We can't believe you are already 1 year old.  You are such a sweet little girl, and you grow and change by the day.  You are just starting to walk.  You are so curious and check out anything new.  You're kind of serious, but love to play and laugh.  And you love to be hugged and held.  We can tell already that you are sweet and kind.

Mommy found this for you.  It's called a smash cake.  Keep looking at the pictures and you'll know where the name comes from

Happy Birthday little princess!

These are all the kids at your first birthday party.  That's Hudson peeking around Noah who of course is squeezing your cheeks.  Some day you'll get him back.  Then there is Kyra, Hudson's sister Scarlett (in the red dress of course) and Molly. They were all excited to celebrate with you.

We all had cupcakes.  And you had your very own smash cake.  Go for it!

Can we share with you?

Noah is hold court.  Look how the girls are paying close attention.

This is your first birthday present from mommy and daddy.

And you and Noah had Christmas presents for Kyra and Molly.

Thanks Noah.

Wow!  Look at that box!

It was a fun, but long night.  Time to get cleaned up.
I'm tired guys.  Time to go upstairs.

Good night Grampy.  Thanks for helping make my birthday special.

Good night everyone!
