Guess what she wants.

This little video deserves it's own blog.  Just on video.  See if you can understand what Sophie is asking for.

Karate Picnic and more.

Noah's Karate had a picnic at Ridley Creek State Park, and we all went.  Noah, Sophie, David, Kathy and Grampy.

Sophie had as much fun as anyone.

Noah got in the middle of a water balloon fight.  Look out!

Back at home, our little monkey had to get closer to the TV.  So she moved her dinosaur cycle over, and if you look, you will she she is standing up on the handle bars...
Is this called a "babushka"?

Very ethnic!

Hanging out in the summer...

We spent a few weekends just hanging around Philadelphia.  First we had to make sure the house was clean.
A good lunch...

And some play time.  This is a new baseball pinball game that Nanny and Poppy sent Noah.

Then out to the treehouse to enjoy the summer breeze.
We went to Lancaster 2 weeks ago.  This was a great park Noah likes to play at.  That's him in the green shirt.

We see you, silly!
Check out this form.  Sophie already seems to love playing soccer.  She naturally knows how to dribble and trap the ball.

The next day we went to the Franklin Institute.  There was so much to do.  Noah was watching a science show, and Sophie and Kathy were watching from the stairs.

Noah and Sophie sat in a fighter jet.

And Noah was getting a feel for what is was like to be a jet, and have wings.

Then on to the SS Franklin.

This was a long day.  Little Sophie was exhausted on the way home.  Night night Sophie.

We'll see you all soon.

Candy, Pancakes and Nuggets

Noah and Sophie had some pictures taken this weekend.  They were so good, we got to go to the candy store after as a treat.  This is just a sampling.  Wait til you see them!

A 2 ft long gummy SNAKE!  Ahhhh!
There was a street party in Media last week.  Look at Noah twirling a plate on a stick.  Next to him on his left is Kyra, and then Molly.

Everybody got water ice.  Even mommy and Kathy.

And Sophie's Makin' Music friends had a tent area set up.  Sophie was so excited.  She got right in there and started singing and dancing.

Meals are a challenge these days.  Sophie and Noah have been helping each other.  Sophie doesn't like to sit in her own chair very long.
"Hmmmm, where did all the M&Ms go?  Should I eat it, throw it, mush it?"

A little guitar music.

This picture is indeed "worth a thousand words".  Kathy was home with Sophie.  Sophie was playing in the family room.  Kathy walked out to the garage to empty some trash.  She came back and found that in the minute she was gone, Sophie went into the cookie drawer, took out the box of ores, brought them back to the family room and was getting herself a snack.  She is a little cookie monster.

Sophie, helping Noah with his chicken nuggets.

Eat another one, Noah!

Purple Belt

Noah has been an Orange Belt in Karate, and has been working really hard.  He took his test 2 weeks ago for his purple belt!
Before Noah could test for his Purple Belt, he needed a good physical exam of course.
And then it was "show time".  These are some of the kids in his Karate class also taking a test.

This video is just one part of the test.  Check it out.
Noah passed with flying colors.  We were really proud of him. He has worked pretty hard and this is his 5th belt rank.
Congratulations Noah.  We're all proud of you!

July 4 Fun

We had a fun July 4.  There was a party at Radnor Valley with games and swimming.  Noah played this cool game where you had to pass a hula hoop without letting go of the other people's hands.  He won a prize for this one.

And of course Sophie didn't want to be left out!  This hoop was a little big for her.
Look out Sophie!  Here comes the Noah-shark.
Then on to the pool.  Anyone see Noah?

So this little monkey now will climb on anything.  She pulled  the sit and spin over  to the couch, climbed up and over the couch.
The next day we set up the water slide and had some back yard fun.

Noah invited his friend Asher over in the morning to play.

Hi cutie.

Friends.

We also had some time to play in the tree house.
And finally to cap off July 4th, a fireworks party in our own backyard!  Noah, Kira, and Molly loved it!
Summer has been fun.  More fun pictures coming soon!

Dutch Wonderland July 2012

Summer is full of treats, including ice cream sundaes! Kathy took the kids one morning to the Please Touch Museum.  They both had a treat with lunch.   Noah was staying his ice cream.  Sophie studied, then ate the cherry.

Then last weekend we all went to Dutch Wonderland.  Can't wait!
Big slide racing......
Mommy won this race.  It was 2 out of 3, so no worries!
Noah took Sophie for a buggy ride.

Then some time in the school house.
Hey guys....school's out!
Noah is a great pilot.
Then on to the water park.   There were a bunch of Sophie-sized slides

And lots of splashing water for the bigger kids

Hey...who locked you up??
Look who's coming down the slide.

Riding the fish.........

And the Pony!  In fact this was Sophie's first real Pony ride.  Giddy up!

Smile!
Noah and Grampy had some time for Spin Art.

And chugging down the track.  There was a time Noah needed pushing.  Now he was so fast, we couldn't get out of his way!

And even Sophie liked the little trains.
Back at the water park, just checking things out.

And yes, it does look like she's doing a pole dance!

More to come soon!
