Winter fun!

Look who's missing his front tooth!  No, no one bopped him (though his Dad jokes he bopped him and that's how he lost his tooth!)These are 2 pictures from the same day, before and after.
Winter means some more indoor fun.  Noah is carefully digging for dinosaur fossils.
We've had a bunch of snow this winter.  We came home one night to a bunch of snow on the ground that was perfect for building.

Sophie snow angel.

This is Sophie's snow man.  She named him Whitey.

Noah made his own snow man.  I think he was named Freddy

Every time we go to the bookstore, Sophie asks to get her picture taken in the sensor!
Hey silly kids!  It's been fun playing outside!

New Year 2014

Hello 2014!!!  Went went to the Aquarium again this year and saw a great fireworks show!

We went with the Nurse Practitioner who works with David, Heather and her family.  She has 2 kids Andrew and Emma both close to Noah and Sophie's age.

Oh Noah.  Sophie's inside the shark!!

Look at these dudes in front of the Eels.
After the fireworks was an indoor dance party.  Sophie is dancing with Heather.
On New Year's day we went first to Radnor Valley for a New Year's brunch They also had a dance party!
And face painting!   Do you recognize this little tiger?

Sophie and her good friend Nick.
It was a busy day.  After Radnor Valley we went to see "Disney on Ice".
Sophie loved the ice show.  She loved the characters, the popcorn, the cotton candy, and the sno-cone!.

Noah liked the cotton candy, the popcorn and the sno-cone too.   He got a little bored and wasn't so happy having his picture taken.  Does he looked very engaged here?

And check out this little video clip.   See the look on the kids faces as well!!

Happy new year everyone!!!

Kentucky and Christmas Vacation

Kathy, Noah and Sophie went to visit the Harney's over Christmas break.  David had to work and wasn't able to go.  Getting through the airport was easy for Sophie at least!

Waiting for the plane

The first adventure was a really cool arcade.  Sophie is a bit of a junkie.  Imagine what she'd do with a slot machine.
Everyone went to The Great Wolf Lodge outside of Cincinnati.  Sophie and Kathy went for a manicure.
There aren't a lot of pictures from this trip, but hear are a couple from the lobby.

We don't even have any good pictures of all the kids together.  They went down watersides, went swimming, played in Lexington and had a great time though.  What a fun way to spend Winter vacation!

Noah and Sophie's Christmas 2013

We've been waiting for Christmas a long time!  We had company on Christmas Eve.  The Miller's came over, and Mommy made great Christmas Eve treats for kids and grown ups both.  CHeck out the hors d'oeuvres

Everyone got some early Christmas presents.

Outside, just before bed we spread some reindeer food, figuring the reindeer would be hungry by the time they got to our house.

Noah wanted proof that Santa actually came.  So we left a camera out with a plate of cookies and carrots.  Noah and Sophie also each left Santa a nice note.  Well Santa took pictures "selfies" of himself enjoying the cookies, and leaving presents.  How cool is that????

It was a long night to sleep,  but Christmas morning was finally here!   The stockings, which were hung by the chimney with care, were full of all sorts of fun stuff!

And there were tons (tons!) of presents for everyone!

Noah got a new Disney Infinity game for his XBox

And Sophie got new earmuffs!

And an easel

And opened everyone's presents!

Grampy and Kay came to celebrate Christmas later in the day.  And brought more presents!

In this picture, Kay is holding Frosty.  Sophie made Frosty for Mommy for Christmas.  Noah made a Bunny dressed in a  Santa outfit, but he didn't make it into the picture.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
