Drumming and Dancing

Noah's got rhythm.  And he has a groupie.  Sophie loves sitting there, listening and dancing!
This game is a home made "Angry Birds" game.  If you notice  Noah has an angry bird and there are bigs sitting on the tower we built.  Look out pigs!

Our drummer.

"C'mon Noah....I want to play Wii too"

"The Girls", out for a stroll on a sunny winter's day

Sophie had fun playing with the neighborhood girls.  Kyra just loves playing with Sophie.

See you all soon

Happy BIrthday Mom, and Go Giants!

We all celebrated mommy's birthday, but a couple days early since she had to be in Las Vegas for her birthday.  Happy Birthday Mom!

Grampy came for that weekend too.  He and Sophie were having a deep conversation.
It's been a quiet few days in our house.  Noah has "assumed the position" and was playing a little Wii.

Sophie needed to stop and have a little drink.
Dinner time is fun at our house.  Sophie loves eating all different things.  Or at least she like playing with all different foods.  Dinner can be messy.  But if this is one happy eater...

This is what a sad eater looks like (he is actually just pretending in this picture)

Noah got mom "Just Dance" for Wii.  He loves playing it too.

But Sophie loves dancing too!

Hi pretty little girl.  What do you see outside?

Both these kids love reading.  A little quiet time in our house.
But the big excitement this week was the SUPERBOWL!  The Giants played the Patriots.  David was in San Diego Saturday but took a Red Eye home to make sure he was home to watch the whole game.
Noah is getting ready in his Eli Manning jersey.

Sophie has throw back jersey on and is wearing Tiki Barber's number from the 2007 Super Bowl.
"Hey Noah....I think the Giants are going to win"

Ready for kick off
TOUCHDOWN, GIANTS!

Time for bed.  See you all soon.

Love, Noah and Sophie.

A fun few weeks...

It's been a fun few weeks.  Check out this short video to see what Sophie is up to.  She is such a fun little girl.  She seems to understand everything we say to her---except "go to sleep"!  She is trying hard to talk, and we're sure that will come any day now.  In the meantime, Erin has been teaching her "baby sign language".  How cute!

And look how far Noah has come!  He has worked really hard learning how to swim.  And now he loves it!  Listen carefully ("did you get that?")

Noah had Pajama day at school.  He really isn't this mean looking.  He's pretending to be Jedi in his Star Ways pajamas.

This has been a hectic week in the Porter house.  On Monday Kathy left for Las Vegas.  On Thursday David left for San Diego.  Kathy took a red eye home for Friday morning, and Noah and Sophie got to play with Erin overnight.  David is taking a red eye home for Sunday morning.  Everyone will be very tired but Superbowl time, but we can't wait to see the Giants play the Patriots!

When Kathy came home Friday, she took Noah to get a hair cut.  He has been wanting to get a hair cut to look like a rock star, and we loved it.  He is definitely a rock star!

Then it was off to buy new sneakers.  Boy, he goes through a lot of sneakers!  He's showing his moves!

Meanwhile, this little kitty love her "Jumpin' Jane" and swings and bounces all over.

Saturday morning Noah got a medal from his soccer team.  Just as he worked hard at swimming,  he worked hard at soccer this winter and really played great!  We were really proud of him, and he was pretty proud of his medal.

On Saturday, while Noah was at a birthday party, mommy and Sophie went out for some girl time. They went shopping and had lucy together.  Sophie shared Kathy's Cobb Salad.  She loved everything, and devoured the roll.

And back at home, she couldn't wait to change her clothes.  She wanted so much to put on Noah's shirt.  It almost fits, don't you think?

Hey Noah, did you play the IPad all weekend?  (Nice haircut by the way!)

Tomorrow is "Super Sunday".  Everyone in our house is gearing up (literally as you can see) for the big game.  I'm sure we'll have lots of photos from the Super Bowl.

See you all soon!
