Ho Ho Ho 2012

Ho Ho Ho!!  Guess who's coming to town???  It's Christmas Eve, and we're getting ready for our visitors.  Noah and Sophie left out milk, a cupcake, 9 carrots (8 plus one, in case Rudolph was coming this year), and a nice note for Santa.

And boy, was Christmas morning fun.  Noah was great waiting until Sophie woke up, and we all went downstairs together.  Sophie got to her stocking before anyone else.

Look at Sophie playing with the toy that was in David's stocking.

The 10th Reindeer!

Sophie got a packet of chapstick ("lip stick") that she used for days!

And you should have seen all the presents Santa (and everyone else!) left!  Merry Christmas to everyone!

A little break for our little candy cane, then back to opening presents.
Great, fun, warm!

Don't know if you can see well Sophie's new dress up shoes that came with her dress up clothes!
Merry Christmas Grampy!

The Abominable Noah!
Great Christmas gifts for the boys.  How come David got the pig and Noah got the Angry Bird though????

This is awful!  Kathy was trying to clean up a spill and Noah thought he'd just hop on for a ride
The rest of the Christmas week was super fun as well.  Here are the happy girls....

Is there (another) doctor in the house??

On Thursday, Kathy and David took the day off and took Noah and Sophie into Philadelphia for the day.  We all took the train.  This was Sophie's first train ride.  Noah is an old pro.

First stop was at "Suburban Station".  We got donuts  and had a snack before the day's adventure began
Next stop was at the Comcast Center.  For those who have never been here it is hard to explain.  See the wall behind us?  It's actually a giant screen.  Every hour was a 3D "video Christmas show".  It was pretty incredible and the kids were mesmerized (as were we all)

And we met Kyra and Molly there.  Double fun.

Check it out.

Wow!

Then outside to Macy's; this is the old "Wannamaker" building, for the annual light show (inside) and visit to Dicken's village.  Everyone hold hands...

Inside Macy's waiting for the show

Pretty awesome as well.
Then Macy's has this cool set up of "Dicken's Village".  You walk through the story of Ebenezer Scrooge.  Almost Sophie size.

And certainly Noah sized!
It was a long but fun day.  Back to the train for a quiet ride home.

Once back home it was time for some family quiet time.  Sort of.  Kathy was folding the laundry and Sophie just walked up behind her with the foam sword of Noah's, bopped her on the head and said "Mommy, I want to battle you!"

Bop!
Merry Christmas everyone, even if a little late.  Hope the holidays and New Year brings everyone health, happiness, peace, and only good things.....

Love, us.
