Ice cream for Sophie. And Noah, of course.

We realize that only a parent and some very special relatives will appreciate the need to document Sophie's first ice cream!  She LOVED it.  We were having dinner at a rest stop on the Jersey Turnpike on our way to Danbury for Hanukkah.  Is she happy or what?  Sophie, there's lots more where that came from.

Of course it's in her genes.  We hardly go anywhere without this little ice cream eating machine ordering chocolate ice cream!  He is teaching his sister well.  And notice his new 32 oz cup that we got as well?

Well, and of course maybe they get some of it from their dad?

Getting ready for the holidays.

Back at home we were getting ready for the Holdiays.  Noah's had a show at school for the parents.  Here is his class getting ready to sing "The Big Blue Frog"

This is KB reciting "The Chubby Little Snowman".
Hey mom, that's me!
Now it was off to the malls.  We had Hanukkah, Christmas, and Sophie's birthday presents to buy, so one night after work, David and Noah took an adventure to the mall.  Nothing more to say other than "that's my boy"!  Needless to say, Noah charmed the sales people at every store we went into.  He had some very specific things he wanted to look for.

First stop was to find mommy some pajamas.

Noah...Pajamas are over here!

Second stop was to look for bright red lipstick.  He decided he wanted to buy Mommy and Nanny each lipstick.  We must have looked at 15 different colors.  He picked a bright pink for Nanny and a sparkly red for Mommy.

Now that our shopping adventure was done, the holidays will be here real soon.  Check back soon for lots of holiday fun!!

Thanksgiving 2011

We went to Connecticut for Thanksgiving this year.  We got in really late so we started out in a hotel.  Thought maybe Noah and Sophie would sleep together , but not enough room.
This year, we started out with hopefully a new tradition; a family football game.  I think it was a tie.  Check out the crew.
"You go right, you go left then short, and long but not too far.  Oh, and Noah...crush that guy in the Patriots jersey!

In this short video, you can see our team's secret weapon....
No doubt, holding!  10 yard penalty.

The games continued in Avon.  But this was a smaller football game.  2 on 1.
Quarterback and his receiver.
Oops.  Teams changed.  Go out and cut left on the goal line.

Meanwhile, Auntie Marci and everyone else were making a wonderful dinner inside.  Sophie and Poppy were hanging out before dinner.

Smile everyone.

Noah and his biggest cousins.

Noah and his less big cousins.

Hey Poppy, what you got there??

I'm coming to get some.  How come no one gave me ice cream???

We had a great Thanksgiving in Connecticut this year!   Lots of fun holiday time.  Will see you all soon.

Love, Noah and Sophie.

Where's the beef?

Where's the beef?   Noah is trying!  He decided he wanted to try a cheeseburger, so we had dinner at McDonald's.  We're not sure if it's a good thing or not, but he didn't like it that much.
Sophie on the other hand wanted to try pasta.  Mommy made her Pastina (we think this was auntie Laurie's suggestion) , the tiny little pasta with some butter.  Let's just say her table manners leave something to be desired.  Soph, what happened to all the pasta??

Yes, we know you made a mess.
OK...we don't care how much you smile.  You still made a mess!
Noah decided he wanted to draw something on the driveway as a surprise for mom.

Hey mom, look what I made for you!

Pretty cool, huh?

Sophie was a little tired out after that and thought she would chill out in front of the fireplace with a good book.  Check back soon and see some updates from all of our recent holiday adventures!

The NEST and more

Did you know we have a tree house?  Noah and David painted a sign for it.  We don't have the best pictures, and while it looks like David is painting, Noah did most of it.  Noah got to name the tree house and we called it:  N&ST.  The "&" looks like an "E", so we nick named it the "NEST".  This stands for Noah and Sophie's Treehouse.
You can see the signed nailed up to a tree (partially).  Not sure why we don't have more pictures, but here is Noah, Sophie, mommy, and Noah's friend Asher on the porch of the treehouse.  Wait til you see this!  It is super cool.
Our little baby Sophie isn't such a baby anymore.  She is starting to walk and play more and more.  She wants to play where ever Noah is.  Sophie pushed her high chair over to the stairs for some reason, and who would have thought Noah would be lying under the high chair in the middle of the room.
We now have 2 crazy drivers on our trip to home depot.

Of course, Sophie is new at this and her big brother gives her a lecture on the proper way to drive.
And just a few more pictures Noah and Sophie and catch up.

Sorry for the red eye.

More pictures soon from all the fun holidays!

Start spreading the news...

We took the train into to New York a few weeks ago and met Auntie Marci and Uncle Jimmy.  This was the first time Noah and Sophie went to NY City.
Just waiting for the train.

Hey Auntie Marci.  Let's go up the Empire State Building.
It's windy up here.

Keep warm!

One of few family photos.  Smile everyone!

Hey dude, how do you like it up here?

Then we went up to the 102nd floor.  This one was indoors.

Wow! That was cool.

Before going home we went to Time's Square and to the huge Toys R Us.  It was light out when we went in and spent almost 2 hours inside.  When we came out it was dark and the lights of Time's Square were amazing.  Imagine being a 5 year old and walking out into Times Square in the dark for the first time.  Noah was in awe.
More fun and updates from Noah and Sophie real soon.
